Children are born explorers – they love to explore and discover. Take your kids to the park, nature reserve or even in the back yard to look for lizards. They will love it!
The lizards will hide when they hear a person or animal so you will have to be nice and quiet. Some lizards can bite so be careful with which ones you pick up. The small Gecko's and Skinks tend to be alright with being handled and not bite. When you pick them up do it gently as they can sometimes drop their tail if they think you are a predator. But don't worry too much if this does happen as the lizard will grow back it's tail.
Look at their scales and patterns under a magnifying glass, it's truely amazing. See if you can find the lizards ears. When you have finished looking at your lizard make sure you put it back near its home.
