It has been a busy start to the year, with lots of frames and books to show you all. Above are pictures from my children's portfolio's from school last year. All the boys had a very creative year so it was difficult to cull the amount we put in their books. It was the last year of preschool for one of them, he is now in "big" school. It is exciting time for him but it is sad as well, he will grow up so quickly! I have found with all of them, the way they create is very different in preschool than it is in "big" school. Before kids get to school they are if fact the most creative at this time. Imaginations are developing and everything is exciting and fun. When they go to school this starts to slow down and they become more self conscious and worry they are doing it "wrong". One of the reasons for me starting to document this creative journey for them, is to show them that we love all of their artworks and encourage them to keep doing more.
